Oatmeal Energy Bites

If you have a major sweet tooth like I do, eat one or two of these and you will be satisfied! All healthy ingredients (however they are not low calorie or low carb) but they have to be better for you than eating a bowl of ice cream or a candy bar. These are a little bit messy to make, so I always double the recipe below to make them last longer.

  • 1 C rolled oats
  • 1/2 C peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • 1/2 C chocolate chips
  • 1/3 C raw honey
  • 1/4 C ground flaxseed

Mix all of the above ingredients together, roll into balls and pop in the refrigerator.  I think it will make about 22. I estimate there are around 80 calories, 10 carbs and 1 gram of fiber, but don’t quote me on that. I’ll update this next time I make them. You can also mix in other stuff like chia seeds (great source of fiber!) and unsweetened coconut. Enjoy!
